"I Kissed Dating Goodbye"

I've been reading this book since.. ( i lost count!) new books seems to fascinate me always, and believe me, i'm still trying hard to finish this book.

You won't find a long list of rules for "courtship God's way." What you will find is that this book isn't really dating at all. It's a book about following Christ and what that means for all of our relationship with others - whether romantic or not. Some people might not agree with the things that was written in the book, but hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, right? :) so back off. Lol.

Anyways, it's a book stating learning the true definition of Love. the "real thing" *ehem*Well, we intend to loose patience and evidently get tired of waiting that comes out with a defective dating. It's not easy walking this path, especially when you face the fact that you receive wedding invitations / engagement parties 5 times in a year! However how cruel the world is, there's always the fact that we should make the most of our singleness. As what it says, "Biological clocks can tick all they want"! haha.

Lastly, aside from learning the true meaning of the word "L", remember that the right thing at the wrong time is the WRONG THING! :) ciao!

"Weekend get-away"

Just last weekend, me and some friends (Ann, Ginette & Ryan) went down south for a weekend get-away.
It was awesome! I mean, not only i did get to know more about my friends. but the fact that what we all did that weekend together, that is different. you know, the memories will linger in my mind.

Ryan did took great pics! check it out.

It was a cool (inspite of the hot summer sun), relaxing and it felt good. I mean, i did wish life could go on like this. But eventually, because life in south is still different than the city. living here in Taipei is always in fast phase, and you just have to hold tightly in it, or else, you'll be left behind :p

oh man, their seafood was the best! we had all you can eat oysters one night, and plus that they prepared bbq (which includes seafood porridge / noodles) and that we can go fishing at night, and what we catch, it is for us. (well.. we wasn't really expecting to catch fishes, coz we were so occupied with the oysters already lol)

Aside from this, we did water sports such as riding banana boat, water bike, island hopping, posing for pictures (lol). and on the second day, we went to the city, to their water marine museum (something like that), letting our breath take away from the wonderful views / creation (mostly oceans & sea!), and when we passed by, you can smell the water. (i mean, you can only feel the water by tasting it, by your sense of taste! not by your sense of smell) but dude, it was totally just cool. it was as if the water is just calling you to swim.
Then on our last day, we went island hopping again (two islands actually). And this time, we get to sit on the 2nd deck. It was a very beautiful day when we set out that day. It was my first time to take a boat, and i remember i used to get dizzy easily (even in cars) , so just in case, i asked Ginette to bring me some tablets for this. However, because there was a typhoon coming in the island that same day, the waves were pretty big when we headed back. I know 'waves', but what i did not know was, when waves (big waves) hit the boat, what it would do to people sitting on the 2nd deck of the boat, with no roof or any shade to protect us?! man!! we were soaking wet! waves hitting us not from the sides, but coming on top of our heads! (like a shower thing!) it was a pretty scary ride, i would tell you, but funny (coz it was really very funny when we see ourselves), happy as well.

it was one of my best summer ever! I would never exchange the time that i had spent with them :)

" P.S. I LOVE YOU "

I finally watched P.S. I LOVE YOU the other day.
And i really really hate to say this, but 'how come the book is better than the movie'??? >_<

Holly Kennedy is beautiful, smart and married to the love of her life - a passionate, funny, and impetuous Irishman named Gerry. So when Gerry's life is taken by an illness, it takes the life out of Holly. The only one who can help her is the person who is no longer there. Nobody knows Holly better than Gerry. So it's a good thing he planned ahead. Before he died, Gerry wrote Holly a series of letters that will guide her, not only through her grief, but in rediscovering herself. The first message arrives on Holly's 30th birthday in the form of a cake, and to her utter shock, a tape recording from Gerry, who proceeds to tell her to get out and "celebrate herself". In the weeks and months that follow, more letters from Gerry are delivered in surprising ways, each sending her on a new adventure and each signing off in the same way; P.S. I Love You. Holly's mother and best friends begin to worry that Gerry's letters are keeping Holly tied to the past, but in fact, each letter is pushing her further into a new future. With Gerry's words as her guide, Holly embarks on a journey of rediscovery in a story about marriage, friendship and how a love so strong can turn the finality of death into a new beginning for life. One scene that i really love was, oh wait.. i think that was two scenes that i love most in the movie.

One the scene of Gerry singing to Holly in the midst of crowd. (On Photo2)
I mean, i know it would be sooo embarrasing, but i think i would feel so loved that someone is willing to show his feelings with or without people around us. Isn't that just cute? awww.. ok i'll stop. it's getting so cheesy now.

Second was the scene where they first met. (On Photo1)

When Gerry was bragging how did he get the leather jacket he lent Holly. (he said he won it in a bet by a girl kissing her..) and when Holly tried to go but they saw a dog that was coming towards them, it was when Gerry tricked her telling her not to move. I thought that was sweet.. well, not sweet as in 'romantic' way, but sweet trying to make an effort to be with that other person (even for a minute or two) :D

Anyways, me back to earth! i'm still single and haven't met the 'Gerry' of my life.
We'll see where God will take me! Amen! :D

I went online to get some photos, just in case you guys get curious why i like the movie (and my friend, Anet go crazy over this!)
oh, and u'll see below some of the memorable quotes as well. hope my air is filled with LOVE now...

oh wait wait wait! there's more!!! Holly met someone in the movie! (and i like him too!) not like that i would want to marry him, but he's just this rough, rugged, handsome kind of guy! and he has this scene with Holly when he was trying to her, but she obviously tried to back out. so their lines was this. (On Photo3)

Holly Kennedy: No, it's not gonna work. I feel like I'm trying on a new pair of shoes I really wanna buy, but they just don't fit. Sorry.
William: Alright then, how about going barefoot for a while? [he kisses her]

The last lines of the movie.
Holly Kennedy: Dear Gerry, you said you wanted me to fall in love again, and maybe one day I will. But there are all kinds of love out there. This is my one and only life, And its a great and terrible and short and endless thing, and none of us come out of it alive. I don't have a plan... except, it's time my mom laughed again. She has never seen the world... she has never seen Ireland. So, I'm taking her back where we started... Maybe now she'll understand. I don't know how you did it, but you brought me back from the dead. I'll write to you again soon. P.S... Guess what?

this was Gerry's last letter to Holly.
Gerry Kennedy: Dear Holly, I don't have much time. I don't mean literally, I mean you're out buying ice cream and you'll be home soon. But I have a feeling this is the last letter, because there is only one thing left to tell you. It isn't to go down memory lane or make you buy a lamp, you can take care of yourself without any help from me. It's to tell you how much you move me, how you changed me. You made me a man, by loving me Holly. And for that, I am eternally grateful... literally. If you can promise me anything, promise me that whenever you're sad, or unsure, or you lose complete faith, that you'll try to see yourself through my eyes. Thank you for the honor of being my wife. I'm a man with no regrets. How lucky am I. You made my life, Holly. But I'm just one chapter in yours. There'll be more. I promise. So here it comes, the big one. Don't be afraid to fall in love again. Watch out for that signal, when life as you know it ends. P.S. I will always love you

And this was when there were having an argument.
Gerry Kennedy: [holding Holly by the shoulders] What do you want? I know what I want, cause I'm holding it in my hands.

so, do am i ready to fall in love now?? hmm... will let you know when i did.
