"Hua-Lien Trip"
I suddenly don't know where to start. We had been planning for this trip for such a long time, and something just always comes. But God is good for He made it all happened in His time. We were supposed to go to I-Lan but between these two, going to Hua-Lien got more votes that's why. We went down south on Friday night after work and it was Annie's birthday that too, just imagine my surprise when I saw Annie and Anet the MRT! Annie was wearing a big red ribbon that Anet prepared for her. I wouldn't wear that! But Annie was such a good sport that day. She was wearing it all the way when we reached our seats on train, and till we reached Hua-Lien. Cool!
Anyways, aside from this, Anet prepared pop up balloons, party crowns & birthday signs as well. Yup, she took it out and made each of us wear on the train! ^_^ And she prepared this book for our trip and we can write stuffs along the way. We three decided that we are going to hand it to Annie after we're done in it, coz we are still going to put some photos inside.
Bayview Hotel wasn't that big as what their weblink says, but it was ok too. Nice and very cozy. I like the bed and the bathroom, i like the whole room! Especially their breakfast! They served it both in Chinese & Western dishes. Every morning Anet would go first, then me, Annie and Diane goes the last. First day we went for the car rental, and we were all so excited and ready when he asked for Anet's another ID document (there was supposed to be only one, just an international license) so just imagine our facees when he asked Anet to show him this thing. He made us feel like we don't have any other choices, he wasn't even there to explain more of the details, he didn't even bother giving us more options! But God is good because I saw one car company in one of the flyers we took from Bayview. hehe. And i called them and gave them prior of the situation we were facing and remarked that the driver is ONLY holding international license, and he replied that the other thing they would need aside from the international license is a credit number, where if we got penalty (from any traffic speeding, or beating the red lights) they can just write down this number and have it deducted automatically. Diane saw a car rental sign just across the street and she suggested we go there and inquire, so we went there, NADA. so from there, we saw another one, opps, this one didn't work too. Guess what? we ended up going to the one that I had called on the phone earlier. We were just glad to find this one! They were really nice and it's near the train station so it will be convenient for us when we take the car back.
I was pretty hungry after this, so as to our way to Taroko, we were munching the breads that we bought last night. We reached Taroko Village shortly, took some photos and headed out for more. Annie told me, last time she was there, when she was around high school; while me on the other hand, i think it was more than ten years ago already. The climate was kinda' cloudy that weekend, just a little amount of sunshine, so I'm not sure if that was the reason why the photos I took look so.. 'cold' to me, so 'distant'. Guess i'm more of a sunshine kind of girl ^_^ (Boracay beach, garden.. lol) We did take some funny and crazy photos, Diane kept doing her poses. And have to remind ourselves that 17:00 hours is already dim on the mountains, it was kinda' scary since it was just the four of us, outside was just dark, and the drivers! they're crazy! how can they drive so fast (w/out even bothering to slow down huh!) in this 'small-mountain-two-lane-only-road'?? But God is good, we're all under His care ^_^
And when the last day came, all of us don't want to get out of bed! We were really in a slow phase. When we were having breakfast, i noticed that we finished around 09:35. (but the first morning, we were all excited we finished exactly 09:00). Anyways, Annie was even telling us about how elephants give birth, coz she said she saw this video. (Sorry but I'm not going to ruin your appetite right now, but if you're interested to know, google it) then after we have to get our butts up, we had decided to went out for a bicycle trip just behind our hotel place. We have a rail just along the beach. And it was really calculated precisely what time we should be back, check our things for the second time if we all had everything, check out and return the rental car. It was really a nice weather that weekend, but i was kinda' bummed coz my shoulder was killing me with my pack, and we're so blessed coz they have this luggage place where we can put our stuffs there while we're waiting for our train. We went to grab lunch, and God is so good coz we found this nice & so cozy resto just near the station, then we headed back to buy some native Mochi for friends, THEY ARE NOT CHEAP! but I can give my word that it's good! and it was fresh, all are hand-made by these people. Thinking how these people put their effort making these Mochi and just imagine what people will do for food?! lol. Each of us got more than one box.
Oh wait, before i forget!! You know what we got Annie for birthday gift? We got her a new black leather Kenneth Cole watch! We three thought that this watch just might fit her perfectly, it is so Annie! And so! Since she thought that her birthday celebration had already finished back at the train, she didn't think that there's more back at the hotel room. haha! I called the hotel earlier if they can help us prepare & buy a birthday cake, and asked them if they can put it directly in the ref, and we thought that we can just ask her deliberately to check stuffs in the ref.
Guess what? She did!
I mean, we didn't even had the chance to ask her! Coz just as me and Anet were doing eye contact she stood up suddenly and said that she will put the bread inside the ref! hahaha. and it was so funny how Annie reacted when she saw the cake, coz she thought that the last guest left this and the room was not properly cleaned! haha~
And the watch, we hid it under her pillow coz we thought that she would by chance touch it. But apparently, that didn't happen. Anet & Diane had to do something to get her attention and make her get up to pat the pillow (coz they said that the pillow was really soft!) it was at the end when Annie felt weird and asked straightly, 'Was i supposed to do something?' (Oh Annie!!)
Anyways, it was really a very good trip. Many memories and we are still going to continue making new ones, till the next trip! tata!
