"Cold"
Got up at 4am in the morning to get ready, still sleepy and all. Had to keep myself awake and eyes wide open! Good thing that Mom went to the airport with me that morning, I was really sleepy. Reached the airport even before 6am, and waited for Teresa.
If it wasn't for this client, we would not even bother going to Korea, especially in this cold winter! I had to take my big coat with me, hand gloves, hat & scarf! Last time I had all of these with me, it was when I went to Germany for business trip. When we reached Incheon Airport, it was snowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can deal with the snow but not with the coldness of it! (I couldn't believe that it was even colder than Germany.) So after we bought the bus tickets, we were on our way to CheongJu. (one of the cities in Sourth Korea), our client told us that it will take us almost three hours of travel to reach our hotel. And me not wanting to waste any more minute in the bus, so hoping to get a hot shower asap, we saw how slow the traffic infront of us, we were wondering.. "is it supposed to be like this?" And the funny thing is, we already counted the hours so when the bus stopped and saw some people went down, we thought this was our stop. hahaha! And we were so blessed because we met some people who speaks Mandarin and told us that we were just half to CheongJu. LOL. You know what's the bad thing about this? The heater in the bus. I think it was made for people only to survive on the maximum of 1/2 hours. (or maybe two) And as you can guess, we were in the bus more than two hours. Let me count it, the bus took off exactly at 13:30, and we reached the bus terminal at 18:30. FIVE HOURS! WHEW!!! crazy! When we met with our client for dinner, he told us that many people in Korea were expecting a 'White Christmas' last 25th. But sadly it didn't happen, it only happened on the day when we arrived Korea. Guess we got a very 'cool' welcome eh? =)
Meeting followed the next day, and of course it was freezing crap again! I'm so glad that God was with there with me, He kept my peace, everything went well. We were able to promote our new products for next year, had some feedbacks from them face to face. It did save us a lot of time, we were able to list down what other questions or further comments they needed. Anyways, what I enjoyed the most was the dinner. At first I was dreading the dinner, for I heard that we need to have it with their QA Dept. Which I'm having a hard time liking him. For I know that he has been giving us hard time, like he was doing it deliberately. And I know that God wanted me to change my attitude, for it is not good. It is not from His image. So.. I whispered a prayer and started talking to him. I just don't want to care since we were all having dinner and not talking about any business, I might as well enjoy my time and my dinner. Just leaving everything in God's hands. ^_^
After the dinner, we had coffee at a place called "Angel-In-Us". There was only four of us. The guy from QA Dept left first, (we call him 'Ninja' coz someone at the dinner said he looks like one. lol). The coffee thing was a good idea, coz we all had a chance to relax, i mean really relax. They asked me where did i grow up, where did i learn how to speak Mandarin, stuffs like that. We also talked about how many kids they have, who cries the loudest.. you know. 'parent stuffs'
Anyways, I'm just surprised how the purchasing guy turned up to be 'nice'. For you know I've been working with him for a year now and he was an asshole. sorry for the word but I mean he was really different this time, actually every time I see him. I'm just glad that I get to see his nice side, for i heard that he will be going to another division starting next year. His assstant will be our contact window then.
But you know after all of these, i thought how i would want to come back here asap. (Well, it is much more warmer here!) I'm surprised that I kinda' missed Korea. Even though my room wasn't that grande, but it was cozy and i luv the bed! I luv the pillow, i luv the big blanket! oh well, we'll see. Coz i heard Teresa telling them that we might be back around April / May. I think i will like the weather in those months more than now ^_^
